In celebration of National Poetry Month, Angleton Library, a branch of the Brazoria County Library System will be hosting Publishing in Motion- Teen Poetography Workshop on April 28, 2014.  The workshop, presented by Jan Johnson and Boston Davis Bostian, will be divided into three segments targeted at a multitude of age groups.  The entire event will take place at the Angleton Library at 401 E. Cedar.

The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a poetry workshop, followed by a photography workshop at 5:15 p.m., both especially for teens.  Directly following the workshops at 6:15 Boston Davis Bostain and Jan Johnson will give a special performance of rhythm poetry for all ages.  In addition to the performance, several museum quality poetography prints will be on display from the presenters’ latest book, “define: TraNsition”.  Boston Davis Bostain and Jan Johnson will be on hand after the performance to discuss the book and the emerging art genre of poetography (poetry + photography).

The Publishing in Motion- Teen Poetography Workshop and Performance will be held in the Angleton Library meeting room and is free to the public.  For more information please contact Stephanie Carter at 979-864-1519.
