CITY LIBRARY BOARD
City Library Board members are appointed by the City Council, and function as an advisory board for that local library. Each City that contracts with the County for library service should have a City Library Board. The City Library Board also serves as a means of communication between City Council and Commissioners’ Court. The Boards are also involved in advocacy, community involvement, and public relations.
